Congratulations to Rihanna for winning her first mtv video music award for 'best new artist video' at the mtv japan awards on saturday!

Rain did not stop thousands of screaming fans from gathering around the Yoyogi arena as Rihanna performed 4 songs outdoors on the red carpet.

Later inside the arena, her fan MICHAEL JACKSON invited Rihanna to his dressing room to say hello!

And to top it all off, she stole the show on the main stage with a stellar performance of SOS!
