Mother of accuser in Jackson case to face welfare fraud trial
The woman whose son claimed Michael Jackson molested was ordered on Friday to stand trial on felony charges that she stole $8,000 from the government through welfare fraud. She waived her right to a preliminary hearing during an appearance in Superior Court and will be arraigned on June 21 on a count of welfare fraud and four counts of perjury by falsely applying for welfare. She said she wanted to waive her rights and was released without bail.
Fans of Michael Jackson have always wanted her put in jail because of the welfare fraud. "I've had a lot of pressure from Michael Jackson fans to sent her to jail." James Baker said. Adding that he has received at least 15 phone calls and faxes. He also stated that prison is usually not the sentence for first time welfare-fraud cases involving small amounts of money and denied that the woman was getting preferential treatment.
Prosecutors have said that the woman fraudulently collected $18,,782 in welfare payments between November 2001 and March 2003 and failing to disclose the $150,000 she recived from a settlement of a lawsuit. The amount was dropped because the government received money back in the form of child welfare payments made by the father of her son. Each charge is punishable by three to four years in prison. Since it's her first offense she will probably be sentenced to three years of probation and repayment of money . Plea agreement negotiations with her attorney are being considered.

Blah... I wanted her to go to jail! Why couldn't she get the maximum punishment there is? Oh, well, at least she was humiliated and the whole world knows she's crazy!
