Jackson not making the Pope's music! Washington: King of pop Michael Jackson has not responded to the proposition of singing on a CD made up of Pope John Paul II's prayers, because he is unaware about the project, according to his spokesperson. "Contrary to published reports in Italy, and the United States, Michael Jackson has not participated in any discussions with the Vatican or Edizioni Musicali Terzo Millennio, an Italian music label specializing in religious songs, to record music to Pope John Paul II's prayers," Bain was quoted by Eonline, as saying. "None of Mr. Jackson's authorized representatives have contacted either the Vatican or Edizioni Musicali Terzo Millennio, regarding this proposed project," she added. Bain said that Jackson was contacted by the Vatican "about a year ago" about working on some music. "Because he was in trial at the time, he was not able to focus on it," she said, referring to Jackson's child-molestation trial, which ended in June with his acquittal on all charges. For its part, the Vatican has said it is unaware of any contact with Jackson. "It is only a hope, an idea," the Rev. Giuseppe Moscati told the Associated Press of his plans for the album. He said that his music industry contacts had attempted to discuss the project with Jackson, but "we haven't met him or heard from him." www.newkerala.com/news2.php?action=fullnews&id=5402

Michael Jackson's Glove on eBay
Michael Jackson's famous white glove is being auctioned on eBay - with the starting price set at $250,000.
The diamond studded accessory, worn onstage by the star during the 1990s, was previously part of Liza Minnelli's ex-husband David Gest's private collection, and is now available to buy from a Paris-based seller.
The online description reads: "This is specifically a glove to be worn in concert as there are no stones on the palm side, so holding the microphone and manipulating the fedora hat is easier.
"On the back side of the glove are hundreds of rhinestones individually sewn on. This glove is a significant piece of pop history."
Potential buyers are warned the piece is not in perfect condition.
"The palm side is visually stained through use."

Court Won't "X" Out Jackson's Ex
Thu Feb 16, 6:43 PM ET
Michael Jackson did not sing "She's Out of My Life" about ex-wife Debbie Rowe, who following a court ruling Wednesday is very much back in his--and his two eldest children's--lives.
The California appeals court decision upheld the restoration of Rowe's parental rights to the son and daughter she had with the pop singer.
"She's elated," Rowe attorney Eric George said of his client Thursday.
With the ruling, George explained, it's as if Rowe never signed off as the children's mother.
"She retains the rights that a parent has, and she can proceed like any other parent in trying to determine through the family law courts what her parental rights are," George said.
While the next step for Rowe could be a renewed custody fight, the next step for Jackson could be yet another appeal.
Jackson spokeswoman Raymone Bain said Thursday that she had forwarded the ruling to the Bahrain-based star, said to be "traveling," but that she had no statement to release from him.
Rowe, in her mid-40s, was married to Jackson, 47, from 1996 to '99. Together, they had two children, Prince, 9, and Paris, 7. Jackson's brood also includes his youngest son, known as Blanket, who was born in 2002 to a surrogate mother, or so the singer told journalist Martin Bashir in an infamous TV interview.
In October 2001, Rowe told the courts that because Jackson was "doing so well" on his own as a single father she wanted to give up any and all parental rights to Prince and Paris. A judge approved the motion, and Rowe was out.
Then in late 2003, Rowe wanted back in, and asked the court to grant her "temporary exclusive custody."
"Debbie had serious doubts about the best interests of the children," George said.
In the appeals court decision, posted in its entirety at TMZ.com, it is noted that Rowe, who is Jewish, was concerned that Jackson had aligned himself with the Nation of Islam "whose members Deborah believed do 'not like Jews.'" It also said that Rowe was concerned by the child-molestation charges brought against Jackson in November 2003.
In April 2004, the court sided in part with Rowe, and her parental rights were restored. (Rowe also asked for visitation, but was denied that request.) Jackson appealed the decision, leading him to Wednesday's defeat.
Although Rowe and Jackson have been at odds over their children for years, neither has publicly said a discouraging word about the other. A reluctant witness for the prosecution last year at Jackson's molestation trial, Rowe praised her former husband as a "wonderful person" who was "great with kids."
Jackson was acquitted of all charges last June.
Rowe's testimony, meanwhile, revealed that her relationship with Jackson was hardly conventional. A former nurse for the singer's dermatologist, Rowe said she and Jackson never shared a home, and that she hadn't seen her children since 2001.

BOSTON (AP) -- The gala at the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel was a benefit for the Roxbury Comprehensive Community Health Center.
Gladys Knight and Mayor Tom Menino were among the guests Saturday night.
The Boston Herald reports that the King of Pop impostor duped organizers and was ushered to a private balcony with an entourage of about 15 people.
Jackson reportedly is living in Bahrain after being acquitted of child molestation charges last year.
A Herald reporter said the man appeared to be taller and more muscular than the frail Jackson.
Event organizers say the man made a considerable pledge.

Kanye Records Charity Song with Michael Jackson Monday, February 27, 2006 By: Kenny Rodriguez
Roc-A-Fella artist Kanye West is reportedly recording a song with the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson, to raise money for the Hurricane Katrina relief fund.
The two are said to be working on the charity song “I Have This Dream” in an undisclosed studio in London, said Island/Def Jam chairman Antonio “L.A.” Reid. The single -- which features appearances by Snoop Dogg, R. Kelly, Ciara, Keyisha Cole, and the O’Jays -- is set to be released in the middle of March.
In related news, Kanye publicly refuted claims that he is a ‘sex addict,’ as reported by Playboy magazine. In a recent issue West told the magazine about his adult film and website fetish, saying that it is so severe that he has to have porn on him “at all times.”
On Monday, Feb. 20, West told fans on his UK tour that the reporter inflated his comments. “You sit down with these F ! % K I N G journalists and the second you say what you think, they use it against you,” he told the crowd at his London concert.

Police: Ex-Jackson 5 drummer slain By Jeremy Gorner Tribune staff reporter Published March 2, 2006, 10:27 PM CST Johnny Jackson, a former drummer for the Jackson 5 and possibly a relative of pop star Michael Jackson, was found stabbed to death at a house in Gary, Ind., police said this afternoon. Around 11:23 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to an emergency call from the home, on the 2600 block of Connecticut Street, and found Johnny Jackson unconscious with a stab wound to his chest, Gary police Cmdr. Jack Arnold said. The victim, 54, of the 300 block of Grant Street in Gary, was pronounced dead at 12:20 a.m. Thursday at the scene by the Lake County, Ind., coroner's office. A witness who lives upstairs in the home heard a disturbance coming from downstairs between Jackson and a female acquaintance of Jackson's, Arnold said. The witness went downstairs to see what was going on and found Jackson lying in the first-floor living room area before calling 911. No one was in custody at last report and detectives were conducting a homicide investigation, according to Arnold. A description of the female acquaintance was unavailable, and Arnold did not know how the two knew each other. Arnold said Johnny Jackson, a drummer for the Jackson 5, was believed to be the first cousin of Michael Jackson, on his father Joe's side. But some Web sites say that Johnny Jackson was not a relative. One site says he replaced Milford Hite as the drummer in the late 1960s, but says he was not related to the Jackson band members. A former neighbor of Johnny Jackson's, who asked not to be named, said he lived across the street from him for seven or eight years. Although the neighbor, who relocated about a year ago, admits he did not know Johnny Jackson very well, he insists the victim was a blood cousin of his famed band mates. The neighbor said he remembers when the victim used to perform with the band at talent shows 30 years ago. "He [Johnny Jackson] used to have guys come over to his home to play music at least once a week," the neighbor, 52, said. Johnny Jackson lived alone with a big German shepherd, according to the neighbor. He did not know if he was ever married or had children. Gary police said nobody was in custody Thursday evening and the case remained under investigation. www.chicagotribune.com/news/custom/newsroom/chi-060302jackson,1,5805385.story?track=rss

Raymone Bain Speaks As reported by MJJForum.com, Raymone K. Bain, spokesperson for pop legend Michael Jackson, went on the record less than one week ago denying any statments made to contactmusic.com. Ms. Bain at that time demanded a retraction. Ms. Bain has followed up with Michael's fans about various reports attributing false comments. Ms. Bain also sends her sincere thanks to all the fans for their support:
Hello All:
Please advise the fans that I have issued no statements regarding the alleged Jermaine Jackson book proposal. And again, another British reporter, Emily Smith of the London Sun, has made up a quote and attributed it to me.
I have demanded that Ms. Smith, and her editor, pull this quote immediately.
The liberties that some journalists are taking by recklessly using my name is getting out of control. This is the second time in one week, that I have been falsely quoted by a British publication.
Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. Raymone
More from Raymone Bain:
Hello:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so very much for your quick response in advising the fans that I have not made any statements whatsoever regarding the alleged book proposal.
As I indicated to you, I demanded that the reporter, Emily Smith, and the editor of the Sun, pull the false quote attributed to me from their article.
And, they have.
This is the second time in one week that my name has been used recklessly by members of the London media, and a false quote has been made up under my name.
I truly hope that this is the last time I will have to deal this kind of issue.
Again, thank you for your cooperation and kindness!
Best. Raymone K. Bain
