It was taking forever to load for some reason. I don't even know how many times I've watched it. I have to start it every time I get on the computer and usually several times, lol. I sent the link to a couple of friends and told them to listen to it and tell me what they think. One of them asked me to because I was talking about it. When I was watching it, I was thinking how much I like you as you -the singing and dancing and look, and then I watched you as MJ in those videos, and that was amazing. So, I guess I just love you as both. I still can't get over how much you move just like Michael because so many people try to do that, but you're as quick with the leg movements and everything. But when you're yourself, you just look like someone who was influenced by him but not trying to be him or anything. I hope I said that right; I mean it as a compliment.

thats sweet!! all i try to do is be the best when i perform. when i am impersonating mj i try to be the best. as my self that means alot to me when you say that i just look like someone who was influenced by him cuzz i am not trying to be him when i sing my music ya know? I just read recently something that a guy wrote a while back on MJJF about this very thing. He did say you are very talented, but then he said that "you need to try to develop a style of your own too because it's a little too similar to MJ's - and if you become successful that way, MJ fans will hate you for that. Look at Usher and Justin."
I understand that it's his opinion, but I didn't like him saying that like he's speaking for all of us. When I saw your video, I really thought you looked like you were being yourself but you are influenced by Michael. I don't see anything wrong with that myself because I understand that Michael was also influenced by other performers like Fred Astaire and James Brown, and he even got the moonwalk, one of his most famous dance moves, from some street kids. The important thing is that he gives them credit for being influential to him, and you do the same with MJ. Everyone who knows you knows that you do give Michael credit and say that he influences you.
I think it's good to see MJ's influence on other artists because that shows the world how good Michael really is and that his legacy will carry on. I don't think that fans should be upset when they see performers doing a couple of dance moves that they learned from MJ and incorporated into their own routine.
The reason a lot of fans don't like Justin is because they think he's a punk. But there are still a lot of fans of MJ who like Justin. The ones who don't like him say it's because he acts like he's completely original and it's all his own style and doesn't give MJ any credit at all, and when the thing happened with Janet, he basically let her take the blame. Clearly, he's been influenced by MJ but it's like he doesn't want to admit it. I see Usher differently because he does give MJ credit, and I think that Michael would be flattered by him and others who are that way. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?
I didn't think that I would like MJ impersonators because I knew no one could ever sound and look just like him because he is unique and special, but after going to Vegas last year, I realize that I was looking at it all wrong. They are people who love, respect, and admire Michael as much as I do, if not more. Enough to want to learn to dance like him and perform as him. It is good because people will see them, and in a way it's giving MJ publicity - if that makes any sense.
With you, David, I think you are doing it the right way. I can't see anyone hating you for having love and respect for the same man that we do, and you make it clear that you were influenced by him. It is good to be unique and original, but that doesn't mean that you have to throw away every dance move or look that is in any way similar to what MJ does or has.
That is my opinion about it.

sorry about my extremely long post, lol. I get a little wordy sometimes. I don't know why people act that way either; it doesn't make any sense. It's good that you don't let it get to ya though. I like the new changes on your site like the background and the Dance with me pic at the top. It looks great!
